They are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join their dynamic FMCG team.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient and accurate procurement operations, keeping supply chain running smoothly and meeting the demands of a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
•Manage a portfolio of raw materials delivering on cost, inventory and quality targets.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels whilst minimising shortages, production plan changes and high stock levels
•Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate contract and pricing terms to ensure the best value, quality, and timely delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards
•Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as production, logistics, finance and sales to align procurement activities with business goals and needs.
•Maintain accurate and timely records of procurement transactions such as purchase orders, contracts and vendor information.
•Manage and track international and domestic shipments, to ensure compliance with ETA's and delays are mitigated
•Ensuring selected suppliers meet quality and food regulatory standards
•Accurate and timely portfolio and functional reporting
•Monitor market trends, industry developments and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions, cost savings and operational improvements.
Key criteria:
•Previous experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within food or supplement manufacturing of the FMCG sector.
•Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with experience in procurement software being advantageous.
•Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management abilities.
•A proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
