The facility is 18 months new and now is the time to showcase your expertise for team development, continuos improvement and qulity processes.
If youhave experience working with high speed packing and automated filling processes, then we woild like to hear from you.
Currently on a 3 shift pattern with an anticipated move to a 12 hour roster, you will play an integral part in the development of staff, maxmising production efficieny and quality processes.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for managing operations during their shift.
The Shift Supervisor has day-to-day accountability for managing the team of Machine Operators, supporting maintenance activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to safely deliver the shift production targets.
Key duties include
Work with the Production Supervisor to deliver on daily and weekly production schedule, achieving optimum production efficiencies and DIFOT.
Ensure measures are in place for all employees to perform at their best at the start of each shift.
Ensure that all Operators understand and follow the Site SOPs.
Hold Operators accountable for achieving all Quality standards.
Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards during their shift.
Build the capability of the team through monitoring skills and maintaining training schedules, escalating to Production Supervisor to upskill and train the team when needed.
Actively participate with meaningful feedback at start up and handover time on all production related activity.
Escalate any issues through Production Supervisor to sales and logistics to ensure customer delivery on-time.
Be an active member of the operations team through open & honest communication.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Ideally have a background in high speed packaging
Worked in a similar industrial based manufacturing business
Sound background in managing and leading small teams
Worked in a 24/7 environment
Lean manufacturing experience
