Technical Role
The is a great opportunity to join a leading manufacturer based in Moorabbin.
The facility is a food grade packaging manufacturer offering a clean, safe and highly efficient work environment.
Primary Objective of the Position:
•At all times follow and enforce company Safety policies and work instructions and never place production outcomes ahead of Safety mitigation outcomes
•Restore flow to enable production to achieve production plan.
•Assist Team Leader to achieve production plan.
•Complete work orders that are allocated to you in CMMS.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
•Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
•Break down repairs, Planned and routine maintenance of all plant and equipment.
•Fault Finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures and parts.
•Examine faulty equipment for defects. Remove and replace damaged parts.
•Assemble parts, tooling to ensure accurate fit.
•Good computer skill/able to learn additional automation requirements.
•Use various tools and equipment to manufacture, assemble and fit parts, which require knowledge of principles of mechanics.
•Carry out Preventative Maintenance
•Work with Contractors
•Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications.
•Effective communication - keeping Management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.
•Suggest Improvements to machinery / process to improve productivity, quality of product.
•Work on robots and program Cognex vision cameras
Knowledge and Skills required.
Experience required.
•Minimum 4 years' experience in FMCG manufacturing environment managing small teams.
•Basic electrical experience with extensive experience in robotic and automation solution design and implementation.
•Sound knowledge of hydraulics & Electrical vision systems would be an advantage.
•Software experience in MES / CMMS programs
•Experience in plastic manufacturing or similar regulated manufacturing environment well regarded.
Formal Qualifications/Certification required.
•Degree in mechanical engineering
•Mechanical or electrical Trade qualification well regarded.
•Lean manufacturing or equivalent experience and/or training.
